White marble

White marble has a crystal structure similar to calcite, with a rhombohedral crystal shape and curved crystal faces often forming a saddle shape. Polycrystalline twins are common and are often blocky or granular in form. Pure white marble is white, but sometimes appears gray-green, gray-yellow, pink, etc. due to other elements and impurities. It has a vitreous luster.
